Hi everyone,

I have big problem with lasercut 5.3 software. I want to engraved pattern that I made with illustrator and I do not understand why it does not work. It engraved the entire area and not one of the area as usual. I also have error messages (see screenshot)

I have spent many hours making many tests (export setting, design changes ...) But I still have problems with engraving without understanding where it comes from.

I think I'm not the only one with this outdated software !!!

To summary my process:

1 / Creating the pattern in Illustrator cs6
2 / Export to DXF file 2000 version
3/ Import in coreldraw 12 and export again to dxf
4 / import in lasercut 5.3

I've also attached files, dxf and ecp

Hi,

i just took a look at those files.
They seem complicated to me.
If I would try and make such a design, I would do it the same way,
but as far as preparing the file I'd stick with illustrator.

Remaove all compound paths, all groups, all clipping masks etc...
Export to dxf 2004 and import to Lasercut

Why would you import the dxf into corledraw and export it again?

Thanks for your reply !!! I have to try your solution, about simplifying the vector. For the importation in coreldraw, it's because the importation in lasercut doesn't works directly in lasercut with the autocad 2000 version. i didn't know that the 2004 version works. I have to try next week and keep you in touch.
