Re: UB1 Daughterboard - What features?

    Received mine today, thanks Weerasak.

Now I just need to dig out the soldering iron for the linker.

    Attachment 389698

All soldered now. I'm going to setup my UCCNC test system this weekend, update UCCNC and have a play with the board.

Do I need and update to UCCNC to enable it to see the UD1 correctly?

    matth,
So actually we can use ribbon cable assembly or linker between UB1-UD1, but linker need to be soldered. I just knew that.

    Yes, you can use either.
I think it’s worth soldering the linker as it makes a very neat connection.

Wired up a couple of switches yesterday and a SSR so I could have a quick play around with the board and UCCNC.
Updated UCCNC and Ger's screenset, all works great.
I must say that the general IO setup is so much simpler and straight forward compared the Mach3.

Re: UB1 Daughterboard - What features?

The UB1 daughterboard seems to be skewed towards inputs vs. outputs. Is there a reason for that? Any change of a UB2 that is skewed towards outputs??

Because it's designed for ports 4 & 5 on the UC300ETH, which are mostly inputs.

Thanks Gerry, knew there had to be a reason.
