I am running v25, much better simulation than v24 but can't get predator to run simulations for me. I have all the header info coming through in my posts.

anyone out there using predator? Would be great to finally get some use out of this package I have paid for, and it looks like it does great simulations. Any advice would be appreciated.

btw I am using mach3 on a home converted mill using stepper motors and a Chinese cnc set. Works great once you get all of the bits setup and configured correctly

Go to HELP and make sure your license has the box checked for it.

Yep it's licences through bobcad.

I can run he demos but cannot open a new file from the file menu.

Is it possible there is some problem with the licence through bobcad?
I just went back to v24, my old version and under modules virtual cnc mill is not available. Looks like I only have demo mode.

Back to bobcad?

The predator editor needs to be launched from within BobCad to pick up the license. (modules-edit cnc)

Virtual cnc level 3 is a more expensive add-on.. V24 still used that module and only comes with the simple "verify", but the editor level 2 will do "backplotting" of the g-code. V25 started using the new "simulation" system, which is quite a bit easier to use than the older Vcnc... Still the editor works the same...

Looks like I have never had the correct licence as I paid extra to have the predator sim. You are right about the v24 SIMM, sad!

The sim in 25 is a huge improvement but I will still chase up predator through bobcad
