new to all this just hooked up xyz to g540 with mach 3

x and z working fine unable to get y to work switched cable around stepper motors leads work okay iam thinking it might be be the g540 any suggestions

So, you connected the Y cable to the X DB9 and Y worked? Did you also connect X cable to Y DB9? Did that work?

yes I connected y cable to x and it worked
tryed all three motors nothing worked on y
