Adding additional functions to KFLOP pause

    Hi,
is there a way of adding additional functions, such as spindle stop to the pause function? something like the user buttons but linked to the pause? is this possible?

    thanks,

    Rich.

Re: Adding additional functions to KFLOP pause

    Hi Rich,

We will look into this. Other Users have requested this. As you describe we were thinking to add the ability for an "Action" (same options as for MCodes and User Buttons) that would be performed after the Halt. So then something like a Spindle off and move to Safe Z on a halt. One concern might be how safe it is to always perform a Z Move in all Halt Conditions.

We would probably add the same capability for before Cycle Start, after abort, and at End of Job.

    Any further thoughts?

No promises on when this would be available.

    Regards
    TK

Re: Adding additional functions to KFLOP pause

    Tom,
we have a router at work which stops the cutting head and lifts it off the work piece when paused, on resume it starts the cutter, waits a short time for it to reach the set speed and then drops down to resume the cut. it would be nice to be able to implement this on my own machine (also a 3-axis router) which I have the kflop on.

    Cheers,

    Rich.
