    VFD' ?

I am looking into purchasing a VFD from Hitachi and notice their are only
three connections that go to the motor, unless I am missing something in
    the manual.
The motor I'm using has 6 connections at the motor box, and there are really 18 in total at the motor,9 in+ 9out right. Will this motor still work with a VFD?
    I imagine using t 1 2 3 for one direction and t 4 5 6 for another direction
so what do you do connect a switch between the VFD and motor?
I didn't think you were supposed to do that?
I asked another question regarding a static converter ealier but I think now
the smarter thing to do is look into a VFD. If it will work.

You most likely have a motor that is either dual speed or dual voltage.
You do not switch the motor leads for reversal, only three leads, or four counting the earth ground conductor.
The connections should be in the terminal cover.

The data plate does say hi + lo voltage and hi + lo speed.

    Thanks Al

I'll check out the VFD intructions. Hitachi said it should
be no problem. I won't do any wiring untill I am positive
    about it.
