    Exclamation turret falling down

    does anyone had similar problem ? After i turn the power off the turret is moving down.
    i think is something with hydraulic pressure but cannot find it.

    my machine is LC30 with osp5000l controller

    Start with the brake - if it is bad it will slip allowing the turret to drift down.

    Sorry fora late replay,
    I was looking for break but i cannot find it, the only thing i founded is break pressure on the back of machine(were you regulate chuck pressure)
    i know it is supposed to be betweet 86-149psi but i showing 0

    On top of the ballscrew...I would have to check the parts book, but the brake should be either directly mounted to the ballscrew or is in the motor itself (on the real old ones they used a cup motor with a gearbox and the OSP encoder was mounted on the back side of that).

    The brake is a sicknes on okuma machines. That is the motor for the X-axis for turret fault. If on power, is in working state, i would not bother. If he does not hit the limit switch every time of course.
