I can only suggest Oxweld by ESAB, (formerly Union Carbide, Linde). Oxweld is all I have ever owned. I don't know about Victor, Harris etc. I'm sure they are fine equipment also.
I do know there is an Oxweld tip for every occasion & every gas. They also have a line of acetylene conserving High Speed tips. I run them when cutting materials above 1/2" They pierce the metal more cleanly & cut speed for me in 1" mild steel is 5 IPM faster than a regular tip for 1".
They regurlarly pop up used on ebay for around $75.00 - $150.00 I think they run somewhere under $400.00 new.
If it works.....Don't fix it!
