I wouldn't bother machining 'use marks' off the table. It just makes you paranoid and leads to a lot of frustration when you put your own 'use marks' on the table
The only reason to remachine the table is because somebody tried to remachine the table and botched it slightly because they didn't have the necessary experience.
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.
