    Storage

My Trak cnc 2 has rs232 port..I would like to hook to my computor so I will have memory external storage; i.e. disc, as controller is limited..Factory external storage would have been a tape or disc reader but they are no longer available..At this point I don't mind programing at the controller as long as I can store and retreive..What could I do?? Thanks, Seb.

I'm not familiar with that machine, what is the name of the actual control on it?

The control is Trak, model is cnc 2...It is made by Southwestern Industries..newer models are the A.G.E.2&3, MX2..I have tried a program from Visual cnc but it says there is a framming error, and just shows jibberish when I send a program to the computor...I can select the baud rate of the control [1200] in the program but it doesn't seem to help much..Someone told me that there maybe something to due with "stop bits"?? However they couldn't think of how to adjust..Seb.
