    Stepper motor only runs in one direction

    Stepper motor only runs in one direction
    I have built a belt driven Foam wing cutter but my one axis only goes up and will not go down in All my programs (Foam works3 / Mach 3 / and K cam ) I can't see any obvious loose wire

    yet it ran fine a month ago ?

    That is usually a loose motor wire or connection.

    Measure the DIR pin voltage.

    Thanks Guys
    It turned out that I had one of the Step and direction Wires inverted.
    Problem solved I must just remember to change the wire on the 3 axis stepper or I will be asking silly questions again.
