Some newbie questions about G Weike laser cutters

Hi all, my first post here but I've been lurking for quite a while.

I'm currently in the market for a reasonable priced laser router.

The materials that I'm looking to work on are mostly acrylics from 1/8" up to 1".

Sometimes I'll also need to cut the brush aluminum + acrylic at the same time. (Sorry I'm not too sure exactly what's it called... usually we mount the these sheets on the acrylics or PVCs and cut them together on the CNC...)

For aluminum I'm looking at cutting 0.4mm only.

Now my question is what wattage should I be looking at and which model that's most reliable?

The cutting speed and machine dimensions are not a big concern to me.

I want the bed size to be about 48" x24" roughly.

I'm looking at the LC1390S and LC1512 models and have not found much peoples reviews nor any feedbacks.

I know both can cut metals, but didn't really specify what kind of metals. If anything I'll be cutting less than 3mm metals.

Looking forward to your advises any inputs would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

EDIT: Forgot to add, please PM me the pricing as well G Weike...thank you!

    Feedback

    Well I have had a model 1290 CO2 Gwieke with a 100w Reci tube...

The machine is good, it is has its challenges but it works fairly well & I have been quite happy with it.

The CO2 lasers are great on acrylic but do not cut metal...different laser type.

They are a real company, they appear to back everything up & I have nothing but good things to say about my dealings with them & dealing with Lucy. ( my sales agent)

The only downside I had was some adjustments that needed to be reset when I was testing after I received my unit. The Laserworks interface software could be better, but it certainly is workable.

Any questions feel free to drop me a line.

    Regards

    Bob

    LC1390 experience (and sale)

I too had good service from Weike, and I bought a LC1390 80W C02 laser in 2010 and have been using it occasionally to cut acrylics.
Sadly I have changed direction so now have the 1300×900 Weike LC1390 and I am now selling it as I have to move house. Some fun videos and photographs at my little site http://www.buy-laser-cutter.com You may find this interesting if you are researching which laser to buy.

I use the LaserCut 5.3 software and find that it cuts 5mm-10mm acrylic nicely. More than that the beam tends not be straight and you get difficulties in focusing.
    Happy to discuss.
