    Facemilling problem between walls

    I simply cannot get a camworks facemill operation to cut between two walls.
    The bottom and top sides (X+/-) are open, but the left and right (Y+/-) are not.

    What I am trying to do is lead-in from the bottom (90deg from cut angle), then zig-zag up the face, then do a cleaning pass along the two wall edges.
    Tool = 50.8mm facemill
    Cut depth = 3mm

    It will not let me reduce the cut width enough so that it doesnt cut into the side walls, or let me lead-in from 90deg's to the zig-zag cut pattern.
    This used to be so simple in solidcam but I cannot figure it out in camworks!
    Please help!

    You need to think logically...
    -to calculate stepover, it needs area to work it out.

    Facemilling is... cleaning the whole face, with the cutter overhanging the borders
    Try
    Pocketing... which is an enclosed area or may be open at one section
    Or
    Contouring... toolpath follows beside or on top of the selected geometry.... you could define the zigzag line that you want the cutter to run on top off.

    Got it done with rough milling and contour milling op's... seems odd that facemill will create the pathing I generally need, but only offset 90deg, which is not correct as it has to cut 100% tool diameter for the first pass
