Can someone explain

I have to put .002 offset in z to match both tools or I will get a step on face from I.d. turning .

depending on the control parameters b61-b64 control the tool eye. If the tool eye is true, then you may want to double check that your tool data is correct and matches the tool being used. minor things like nose radius and cutter angle are all taken into consideration in mazatrol. I can't clearly see what the marking/issue is, but I hope this helps.

I think I figured it out
The problem comes when tools are touched of one or more days apart when machine is off

Just servos issues when they are off .

All mazaks we have with matrix.

This does not happen on Fanuc.
