    lathe tool eye or touch sensor

    Has anyone used a tool eye or touch sensor for setting up lathe tooling? How accurate are they?

    Is this device a good choice?

    I use one all the time on the Okuma Lathe. unless theyre not calibrated properly, theyre perfect and fast.

    May I ask more about calibration? I thought you just made a contact within the tool eye when you touch it with the tool. What calibration would there be?
