    Rustoleum Turbocrete

I was trying to find most economical way to cast a base.
Thinking about adding crushed granite to this in a 50/50 ratio.
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks:idea:

whats the viscosity on it like? One of the main issues way back when this topic first originated was getting a proper mix. 100% contact on all aggregate and retain the ability to degas.

Why not use regular epoxy? It's cheaper, and most likely works better than any of these alternatives.
When mixed with stone aggregates, the epoxy only makes up 10-15% of the mixture.
Try US Composites for inexpensive epoxy.

I think that trying to save money on the EG side of things to be a waste of time and effort.

You'd be taking the EG route to build a good machine. To get a good machine you'd need to spend hundreds or even an few thousands of money's on drive and mechanics. The money spent on EG then comes quite close to insignificant.

Specs on Rustolem seem close to what you see with an eg,from my quick scan. But specs require careful interpretation and never seem to tell you all you need to know.
Compare with this Zanite. But the quick cure cold be a problem.I noticed in the video that the filler was fine and appeared ungraded.Typically you would use
a graded mix of aggregate from;typically about 8-6 mm down to dust depending on use etc.Rounded river gravels will lessen viscosity with small loss in strength compared to crushed aggregate, provided each has the same strength.Cheap? The price I saw was $134 for 0.3 cuft.
Not sure if you are trying to build a machine frame or fill an existing machine to improve damping?Filling an existing casting doesnt require a material with such stringent properties as a machine frame casting.
