I always use a 96 tpi blade to cut most of my 6061. I have some .5 OD X .058 walled 6061 tube that binds the saw.
Can I use an abrasive wheel cutoff saw or will the aluminum load the wheel?
Thanks.

Aluminum will load the wheel. Do you have a chop saw or rip saw? These will work, just make sure the part is supported well. 96 Tpi is a lot for cutting aluminum. I would use around a 12TPI for that size
