Hello
We changed 3102 but it was only change fanuc side language.
Does anyone know the language change parameter of the PCMDI (Mori-Seiki side)?
Any help would be very grateful.

What language do you want?
Should be keep relay 20 for alarm language but check YOUR ladder to make sure
If you wish to have the MAPPS panel in a different language, you will need to contact your dealer and have them come out to install the correct language version of software.
hello,
i need English language,
and no mapps,
need only PCMDI screen. it is containing magazine , atc manual operation and turnmill offset page, load monitoring etc.
I will try your suggestion. thanks
sorry for my English.
keep relay 20 are all zero, there is no effect.
Pretty sure MSG 501 IS a mapps control. MSC was not. Sould be Mapps 1. Those are software driven, in fact during instalation of the software it never asked what language, so i think the software is specific for the region. This will get expensive i think. You will need to regester the machine with Mori Seiki (you will need to do this if you ever want to order parts anyways) then have the service tech come out with the proper mapps version and load it in to the machine. The keep relay is only for alarm messages.
keeprelay 20 not affect to alarm or something.
thanks
take photos of the screens and post here. if they are accessed with the custom button some of them were Fanuc screens and can probably be changed.
on my MAPPS the language is set in one of the INI files and depending on what MAPPS version you have and what language and files you have now it may be possible to just copy across and replace one file from an English version of the MAPPS software.
But first take photos of the screens so we can see what they belong to (Fanuc side or MAPPS side)
Also if you can manage it, take out the PCMCIA card from the MAPPS unit, put it into a laptop and copy out a directory of all the files in a DOS command prompt by typing DIR /S > LIST.TXT
then post the file LIST.TXT here. This will tell us what language files you have now.
He sent me a message saying in fact its a MSC control, so no mapps. Just a keep relay setting.
Its all in the back of the ladder book.
If your machine did not come with one, you will need to order one from Mori. They are machine specific.
hello
pcmdi language issue Solved
solution:
1- enter the pc mdi screen
2- hit the number keys "95" and input
3- a screen message appear ( enter DATA
4- write "196" and input
5- D data 196 will appear on the screen
there is 7 bits
and all must be zero (0)
0 input
and save.
voila!
but, allarma language still in japanese
there ie no infor about that.
thanks
Keep Relay parameter K20 bits 0 and 1 probably need to be changed
bit 0 = 0 With Language Select for Alarms
bit 0 = 1 Without Language Select for Alarms
bit 1 = 0 With Other Language
bit 1 = 1 Alarms are English or Japanese
the bits 2,3,4,5 should be all 0 but if ONE of them has a 1 it is used to set the language german, french, spanish, italian (in that order bits 2,3,4,5)
Please tell us what settings you have in K20
You may need to check your Fanuc parameter for language too.... 9924.0 to .7
hello
K20 is all Zero,
param 9924 was 0bit=1
I changed 0bit to zero and system restart
no effect for alarm.
fanuc side English, PCMDI side English.
only alarm ((
thanks for your helps
9924.0 is 1 for Japanese language so it should probably be 0 anyway. English = 9924 all bits are 0
For english alarms K20 bit 1 should be 1
K20 bit 0 could be either 1 or 0. probably should be 1 but the use isn't clear (i.e. "without language select" means what? it's fixed at English or Japanese or something else? Don't know exactly....)
K20 should be 00000010 or 00000011
try both ways and report back here with your findings. power machine off/on to test it after changing K20
I've tried both way with power off/on.
EX alarms still japanese.
Your machine may be different. Those parameters were from MSG-500 21iTA
Do you have the ladder diagram manual? The PMC parameters are listed at the back.
