Question ERROR - Diameter must be at least twice the corner radius length! (SOLVED)

I really need some help. Every time that I try to do a cam job for a bobart emboss, when I go to simulate it I get this error:

    Couldn't construct mwBullMill object:
Diameter must be at least twice the corner radius length.

If i finish with a tiny end mill like a ball nose 1/32 it goes away, but I don't want to use a 1/32 I just want to get the emboss looking decent and go on with life. I use the 3 axis mill function to do the job starting with a z level rough and then a planer. What the heck to I have to do to make this error go away? I am about to pull my hair out!

Sounds like you have a corner where the radius is less than the radius of your cutter, but I'm not even a newbie at using BOB, so I may be way off... :-)

The problem is most likely due to BobCAM rounding the radius to a 3 digit value. IE a .125 ballnose, gets rounded from 0.0625, to .063 (hence larger than half diameter). I had the problem also and just changed cutter diameter to .124 or .126...

Someone will chime in and let you know if changing the 3 decimal default to 4 digits also will solve the problem. Of course this will again cause an error if 4 digit rounding creates a discrepancy...

You could also upload a problem file and we will figure it out from there.

Yes! I was just running the default end mill properties and didn't realize that it would round down. Funny, a default tool creates an error. that was an easy fix. I have a screenshot here of the option that needs to be changed for future reference.
