I watched your video, the z plate you made, that looks fairly thin like 1/2"? Are you bolting it on top of the cast iron top plate? If not, I would make it a lot thicker, that thin aluminum will deflect a good bit if not. It's what is supporting all of the hanging weight and downward cutting force of the entire head. Another reason most go with a 2005 ball screw for that. I bolted mine on top of the cast iron for peace of mind. I initially used a 1/2" aluminum plate on my draw bar and that thing deflected almost an 1/8" visibly. The 3/4" probably also deflects some but not as visible.
