every thing else on the machine is working fine ...spindle comes up to full speed and XYZ axis's are all working fine.... the tool changer was removed for this move but I don't think wiring has been changed?

I'm sure the spindle and axis are not phase sensitive, the coolant pump would be. Just a thought.

One of your sensors has a metal chip on it . The Proc sensor cant read its position so it faults. Clean out the Carousel with a blow gun and try again.

Something similar happened on the 4020 here. Turned out the (2) bolts holding the carousel to the movable arm had come loose. This resulted in wobble in the carousel that caused the limit switch to trip intermittently.

The tool changer on a Fadal is controlled by 2 hall effect switches, these switches require a magnet to energize the switch. These are not inductive proximity switches that can be fooled by chips on the switch. From here I have no idea why the carousel is not positioning correctly, however ALL the Fadal manuals including maintenance manuals are available on fadalcnc.com
