2 inch iron (or steel) trihedral and another in chrome

    Hi,

I'm looking for 2 trihedrals to be made with the edge dimension of 2 inches. One to be made in iron (or steel) and the other in solid chrome. The tolerances are not critical.

If you are interested, please advise as to how much?

    Thank you
    Roger

    Hello,

I rather doubt you really want "solid chrome". Such would be breathtakingly expensive. How about chrome-plated something?

At any rate, what sort of trihedral? Trihedral just means three planes that meet at a point. This could be a corner-reflector type of thing, or it could be a 4-sided solid triangular thing.

    Regards.

    Mike

    Hi,

A trihedral as in a 3 sided solid pyramid. Why would solid chrome be 'breathtakingly expensive'?

I don't think it's possible to get solid chrome. If you could get a solid chrome block big enough to make that part the processes needed to cut it into shape would be expensive. It would have to be ground, molded, or edm'ed. I'm not even sure if edm is possible for chrome.

something like 316 stainless will polish up to look close to chrome and isn't magnetic
solid nickle would also be expensive but do able

might be tricky to hold on to

Chrome is a web browser, Chromium is the metal.
