Anybody out there seen one of the C6 style lathes marketed under the name Precision Matthews?

Here's the link from ebay.

I'm interested in how they did the speed control with that lever set up in front.

Same stash of accessories as the Griz, but with a nice looking stand and shipped to lower 48 for $1,900.

Looks very interesting to me.

Not sure why you refer to that as a "C6 style". It bears no resemblance whatsoever to a C6. I should know - I've owned a C6 for about 13 years.

The lever could be just controlling a variable speed pulley, like on variable speed Bridgeports.

Its a geared head lathe, they state it in the add on ebay. When you turn the dial on the front it changes gears in the box to drive the spindle at different speeds. Works just like the gear box for the saddle.
