    servo motor holding issue

    I'm using DC permanent magnet servo motor with carbon brush for the our Unison CNC tool grinder .
    im facing some problem on this motor . Motor is continuously rotating when i'm giving signal hold the motor . I'm confusing , problem with tacho ?motor ? or encoder ?
    please help me to fix this issue

    Hi,
    It looks like you have a tach issue.if a scope could get you the answer for the encoder by checking your channels.

    Yes Potomag, you said right , I have replaced the tacho , now it is working fine. thanks 4 the reply .

    Hi,
    good for you...some times ripple on the tach could drive the machine on wrong direction.
