Vision AC Servo Driver DVSD-75-14A-04

On power up after overnight I get error code ALP-En

Power off and power up again and the error goes away and machine runs fine.

Any ideas?

Sounds like your battery is getting ready to die. You can get an single A battery holder and the proper cell at radio shack. With the power on change the battery.

Changed battery yesterday, no error this morning. Thanks!

I'm thinking that I should probably change the battery in the CNC panel too. The manual says that I should power up the control, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn off the power to the control and replace the battery making sure not to take longer than 30 minutes to complete the replacement.

Notwithstanding the manual, it makes me a little nervous to pull the battery with the panel off. Can I just replace the battery with the power on?
