    I guarantee it would be a hot thread and my eyes would be glued learning as much as I can.

    I just uploaded this video, I don't have time to go through all of it right now.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBBwjrr_ldc"]Mach3, Rhino, and YouTube.... Yep! - YouTube[/ame]

    If you pay close attention you can see I have Proxifier, DropBox and others programs running in the background aswell.

    I wanted to make the video longer, I'll have to get my old Helmet Cam for doing better video (Check out my YouTube channel), I'm tired of clicking on my cell phone screen to focus every time I move...

    Oh... and yes, I'm also looking on this forum and posting this post while the CNC is running.. lol

    I don't see the big deal either, mine has been stable enough to multitask with Mach 3 too.

    The rest of the story

    Just in case anyone else ever has the same problem that I encountered (with an axis "locking up" "jamming" or "stalling" during rapid movement of a Taig Micromill 2000), I thought that I would post what finally solved the problem. I wrote a simple program that would move all axis a few inches and then rapid travel to do it again for a total of 25 times per program run. A T-nut and screw served to mark the origin so that I could tell when steps were lost.

    On average the stage stalled/jammed once every 4 runs through the program (during ~1% of the rapid moves). When MacAfee was uninstalled, the program successfully ran 10 times without an incident. So I raised the rapid speed from 10 to 20 ipm and the acceleration from 3 back up to 10ips^2 and ran the program 10 more times without a problem. By now I have machined several parts successfully without a stalling incident, so it looks like lsces was correct in his advice:

    “Kill any anti-virus and network! Has no place on a machine controller. Load programs via a memory stick.”

    Thanks everyone for your help!

    John
