best cutter for cutting out letters in mdf

I have been looking at various sites looking for the best cutter for use on MDF. I need to be able to cut out names/letters out of 1/2 thick MDF.
After going to sites like toolstoday and noticing all the different tools i want to make sure i buy the right one for the job and not spend money trialing different ones. Something around 3mm to 6mm in diameter is required.
Any links and info on the best bits/end mills would be greatly appreciated.

V bits are what you want for text. Have you seen the program F-Engrave? Nice and simple.

I need to cut out whole single letters and names out of 12mm thick MDF so i will need a cutter to be able to cut all the way through 12mm thick MDF.

Ahhhh, I misread. Carbide Cutter. This bit here is like the sharpest bit I own. Eats through hardwood like its nothing. It will laugh at MDF.

And don't forget to leave the cut letters attached with tabs to stop them being damaged by being thrown around by the cutter.

Just purchased some 2flute down cut spiral from toolstoday. I have also v carve so i will have to learn how to add tabs to my name tags.
I would not bother cutting MDF if it was not for a dust extractor as it coats everything without it.

I had in mind that down cut spiral end mills tend to compress the chips which may lead to higher temperature from friction and some good suction is needed on relatively deep cuts. The positive side is that they do not produce lifting force which tries to lift the material.
The tabs are really a must but I use CamBam and can't help.
