Lost control, XYZ-1280 Leetro MPC 6515 board.

    Hi All,

I was about to start cutting a few jobs after a lay off of about 3 months, when I last used the machine it worked perfectly.

    I am now having problems

    1. When I plug in the USB lead the control card is throwing up a "not recognized" in the device manager.

    2. When I draw a part in LaserCut 5.1, calculate the cut file then export to the usb flash drive, download it to the machine the file is loaded, when I press start the display says contouring but the X & Y don't move.

If I press the escape key on the pad I can manually move the axis' anywhere on the worktable.

If I then press datum it moves both axis's to the 0,0 datum position & holds the position after touching the limit switches with a slight recoil of approx. 2mm X & Y.

Any idea's I'm at my wits end.....!!!!!!!!!!

    LaserCut 5.1 ??? Why?
You should use LaserCut 5.3 with MPC6515.

    Ok,

Got the machine working in stand alone mode, I reloaded the firmware & cfg file from LaserCut5.1.

Didn't know laserCut 5.3 was available.

Downloaded LaserCut 5.3 from the Leetro website, changed the dll files to suit the firmware all seems Ok in stand alone mode.

Still having trouble getting the machine to link with the USB lead, windows is saying device not recognized, the printer lead works fine in another printer so can rule out the lead.

I'm suspecting a problem with the MPC6515 main board.

Any other ideas I could look at.

    Thanks
    Rich

I could do that, the anoying part is, it has worked perfectly in compatability mode until quite recently.

    That's my last resort.

I have another PC running real XP for my other CNC machines, I will load LaserCut 5.3 on that & give it a try.

Any more ideas if that doesn't work.

    Thanks for the advice
