    Changing default feed rates

    Hi All,
I've been bitten a couple of times in Lathe XZ, by the default inch/rev feed rate of 0.02, just simply forgetting to change it. Specially in machining 4130 on the Tormach SlantPRO.
I finally installed a unix shell on my Windows machine and did a grep of the "0.02". [ grep -r --exclude "*.csv" ".02" ]. Lo-n'-behold there it was in "Program Files\Sprut Technology\Suppliment\Operations". There are whole bunch of xml files, the ones I was interested in were: AbstractTurnOp.xml, LatheContouringOp.xml. By changing the "InchDefaultValue" from "0.02" to "0.01" the defaults now come up accordingly in the dialog box. I hope some people will find this helpful.

If you do this you are doing so at your own risk. Make a back up copy of any file you plan to change.

    Re: Changing default feed rates

Thanks a great deal for that research - I tried something similar but never found the magic files, though I did find a way to change the starting X/Y/Z position for the Tormach2012 mill.
