What is better option between glass and RF laser tube

    Hi all,

Firstly, thank you all for your help on my birch plywood post, your help has been invaluable.

    My next question is...

If you had a choice between a 50Watt red type (?) glass laser and a 70Watt RF Coherent laser to go in a machine that you will be using to cut 4mm birch plywood, what would be the better option?

(Lens options and air assist will be used included for both options)

    Thanks in advance !!

Ask Gary [email protected] (or me )) about GCC X380/X500 with Spectron laser. PM me your e-mail - I will send you some information.
And do not forget that you can upgrade Spectron to Synrad!

They told me the lifespan of glass lasers is about 1500 hours and the lifespan of a RF laser is about 10k hours. Refilling or buying a new RF tube is way more expensive than a glass tube on the other hand..
