I've had this posted on the G-REX thread for a while now (Gecko Under Glass) with some interesting comments. One guy said it was "Pimped Up". Another said it looks like it belongs in an Arcade.

Beautiful work.
It is "pimped up" . Great work.
Jason
Great job, I would really like to know how you made this
 that is cool only thing i be afraid to use it
I going to show my guys at work. where you get the parts and what inspired you to do that to your cnc:cheers:
One guy asked about my pendant picture. The case is made of Plexiglas from Home Depot. The frame is a few scraps of 8020 T channel aluminum. The electronics were obtained from Ultimarc - this device is explained in the Mach 3 documentation.
Another guy asked where I obtained the parts for the router. About 95% came from Ebay. The design evolved as different parts were discovered in the auctions.
Thanks Clockwork, just a few more things to order now!
Real nice! I'm building as well right now. Looking at your controller.... I might put some more effort in as planed as well 8)...

very nice machine
I like the buttons!
TOTALLY AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great for showing but sure would hate to cut MDF or anything for that matter with it. VERY NICE WORK!!!!!!
Cheers

I love it and now I am going to *MOD* mine to look as nice! now to gather buttons etc....
I would suggest you make a nice *brush* skirt and hook a vacuum to that table though. I would say swarth would get into many areas and this can be minimized with a good swarth removal system!
Dig it and I am inspired!!!!

I decided keep my CNC routers in the garage instead of my shop because of the noise and sawdust. I use mostly 3/32 spiral bits that produce waste which is more like powder than sawdust.
All of my machines are on wheels. I move them outside when I use them. When finished, I blow them off with compressed air and they're like new again.
Here is a link with more pictures of my other machines.

Very Nice! Are the PB switches and joystick from arcade video games?
I used to work on arcade games, etc and found those switches and
joysticks to be incredibly durable. Inexpensive, too.
...and they come in a nice variety of colors! ;^)

I went to ebay per a recommendation and yes I found those switches located there and they cost very little! I am now in on the buy! I am going to fashion myself after this mentor of all things good looking.

Inputs are defined in the Mach 3 "Ports and Pins" configuration screens. Inputs can be defined as signal levels on a pin or as a keyboard keystroke.
2 of my machines have Gecko G100 controllers that provide 16 input pins.
The Pendant of my second machine (see photo stream) uses a Ultimarc gaming keyboard controller. The Mach 3 documentation has a couple of pages that define how to implement this device.
I just started to play with a Logitech G15 gaming keyboard that has 18 program keys that can be set as a single keystroke or a series of keystrokes.
Are those THK linear actuators you're using?
Nice. Multi color neon lights would really add to the pimped out look.
