    Servo motor info please!

I removed these servos (I think they're servos.. n00b) from an old old computer controlled typewriter/printer.

The large one moved the carriage left to right, the small one rotated the disc with all the letters on it. I think the printer was a Radioshack brand. The larger motor has the following label on it: XEG50791; the smaller on has this label: XEJ51116.

So please give me some info, or guide me somewhere I can find the info.

    Thanks!

    Jeremy

Am i right in assuming that you have 2 power lines to each motor, and they are connected to 2 points each? If so its brushed DC motors. If you remove the screws where the wires go to, you should find some brushes underneath that section. If the motors are old you may want to check the brushes.

The encoder on the back looks to be a US digital one, if you check their site you should be able to id the type by appearance, but you will need a serial number to know what count they are.
