I have had random freezes of KmotionCNC.
I was not able to notice anything that I did to cause this, but it never happens during a g-code run. I suspected a file access delay so I changed my HD to an SSD. I still get them.
I changed the routing of the USB cable.

Today it happened after editing the g-code, hit run -> freeze.

What helps is unplug USB cable -> the program unfreezes, error message appears, plug the USB cable back in -> continue to operate without any hangups.

Since nobody else has this problems, I am asking myself how to diagnose the cause. The only thing that is unique is that I am working in lathe mode.

Do you have any idea how I could solve this?

Hi Leo,

That may be a tough one to track down. What Version are you running?

I believe there might be an issue with some computers recovering from hibernate mode? Somehow the USB driver doesn't always wake up properly. Does it seem to be related to something like that?

When it freezes do other programs run? Can you see in Windows Task Manager if KMotionServer.exe process is still running? Does Device Manager still show KFLOP under USB Devices?
