    Post PCB Engraving CNC

I am a complete newbie, I want to make a CNC for PCB making purposes, can I use these electronics
    1. 2.6kg.cm Nema 17 stepper motor (CNC NEMA 17 Stepper Motor 5V 1 2A 2 Phase 4 Wire 2 6kg cm 1 8 Degree 3D Printer | eBay)
    2. Polulu driver (1pcs A4988 Stepper Driver Module Polulu Compatible for RepRap Prusa Mendel M6 | eBay)
    3. USB CNC Driver (4 Axis USB CNC Controller Cncusb Usbcnc CNC USB Alternative Mach3 Usbcnc 2 1 GE | eBay)

I want to make something small like whiteAnt.

And one extra question, I have seen buildyourcnc.com to use Belt and Pulley instead of Screw and Nut in many CNC machines, is that advantageous and reduce backlash error?

I am a computer science engineer and have a little less knowledge in mechanics so please consider if any silly questions are made.

    -Thanks

I would be most interested to know if you or anybody else could make the CNC driver (4 Axis USB CNC Controller Cncusb Usbcnc CNC USB Alternative Mach3 Usbcnc 2 1 GE | eBay) into a cheap cnc laser open architecture controller.

Maybe, I can push it for cutting small pieces of wood to make a bigger one. I have to start with a small one to make a big, right?

    CO2 laser cost a lot, that I can't afford :-(

You can always start with something cheap like this:

That looks interesting, how much can I cut by a 500mW laser? Can I cut a 3mm acrylic sheet? What factors depend on the wavelength of the laser diode?

The stepping motor size has nothing to do with the X-Y size of the table, you can make It any size you want :-)
