Not sure what I'm doing wrong

I'm programming a part with a angle around a radius...(41 deg angle) it tapers to a raidus at the top of the part (.09 radius)...problem is when I surface it ...at the top where it is now a flat plane...the e-mill (5/16 ball)gouges at the top about .06....I tried using a bullnose ,but yet the same thing.. I tried different tool paths flowline, parallel, scallop, I have the top as a checked surface leaving .06...It looked ok in flowline when I verified it , but still gouging...anyone run into this problem or think of something that i'm doing wrong?

I have seen a bull mill gouge for no apparent reason back on V8 or 9... I have never had a ball mill gouge.

You're getting a gouge in verify or on the CNC ?

I wonder if you could make it work by avoiding the use of a check surface ? You could create an offset surface and select it as drive to use as a cover surface instead of the check...

If you want to upload or e-mail it I will look tomorrow AM. No hasp at home today.
