Nice thought, but what catches the drips running down the inside of the front? I don't see a catch channel.
With flood coolant, there is a good chance of getting wet shoes.

Hi Neil.
Good spotting - and you must be a mind reader!
We have been developing a catch channel and now have a tidy working prototype. It is a sort of hook shape extrusion off the inside door lip edge that is drained at one or both ends via a short length of tube - is that the system you are familiar with?

Not familiar with any system. It is just my instant solution, but don't use a tube. It WILL got blocked.
The return channel needs to such that it can drain into another side channel on the door, on the left, away from the controls.
I'm not a mind-reader - Just old.
