Hello, I am just getting into CNC machining and hope to find some helpful tips along the way from this forum. I am looking at purchasing a used Mill/VMC by October. I should have a budget somewhere from $20k - $30k Canadian dollars, I`ve found a few adds for machines in Canada and was wondering if i could get a few opinions on them?

I have a few projects in mind and a 40/20 machine should be more than enough for a while, 4th axis would be a bonus but not used right away obviously. I work a 12 on 12 off schedule so there will be lots of time to learn and sort out a machine, Thanks in advance for any info or opinions.

Since you say your new to cnc machining, I would say, stay away from anything more than about five years old, you will not be ready for all the pitfalls of older machines.
