    Need some help

    Hey guys and gals,

Im having issues getting my system to drive.

I wasn't sure what sub to put this in so I just added it to general.

I'm getting pulsing in the servos and they fail, reset, fail, over and over.

I'm not 100% sure the C11 is working properly either.

    OS:Win 7 32bit

    Controller:Mach 3

    BOB:C11

    Drivers:G320x

    Servos: Litton C23-L50W10M09 24V

Encoders: Computer Optical Products CP 550-1000-LD 1000 line count

PSUs: 5v from PC via USB, 5v for Aux from bench-top power supply, and 24v 15a for servos and encoders.

The problem you described is almost certainly an issue with your encoder not being recognized under load. I could not find a datasheet for that encoder because the URL is bad, but I am guessing that its current draw will be above 50mA. You can try powering the encoder externally with its own 5V supply and see if that fixes it or try using an AMT102-V encoder from DigiKey Electronics - Electronic Components Distributor. Any time it jumps like that it is because it is not detecting an encoder line, going into FAULT, resetting, and repeating the cycle.

    Max is 50mA in them.

    I can try the PSU.

I thinking I may have to wire the encoders via "Using HEDS Encoders With Geckodrive Servo Products"

    http://www.geckodrive.com/using-heds-encoders

    See below for spec sheet.
