    need a little help

i have a questions that seem stupid to everyone around me. i am using solidworks 2010 to draw/engineer,nestmast2 for nesting. and a cnc plasma/propane

first off i took a few classes on solidworks. with that said everone at work thinks i am a genius if i model something stupid but if i have a little problem i am stupid. everyone thinks this stuff in MSpaint

how come when i save something as a .dxf with out it being first a drawing i get layering problems.

nestmaster2 will have a problem with it and my bosses dxf viewer will not work unless i save as drawing then a .dxf

or sometimes nestmaster2 will see it but my bosses dxf reader wont

whenever i make something for our punching machine, i first make a model, then it's drawing and then a dxf. you should maybe pay attention to what your drawing looks like; eg. hidden lines shown or maybe you draw something bad

never dealt with nestmaster, but i have run into issues when i save a dxf; versus import/exporting files and pack & go. Might not help.....just needed something to do while i'm waitin fer the machines to finish their cycles.
