    Longs Motors Running Hot

    Hi guys i have bought longs motors from ebay and they are great, the problem i am having is the motors are very hot to the touch and to me this does not seem normal, the motors run fine and do what they are ment to so is there some way they could be wired wrong. Thanks for any help.

    If they are steppers they will, the wattage dissipated will be equal to the label voltage x rated current.
    If servo's, normally no, they should run fairly cool, even when used over a long period.
