    Lasercutter won't communicate with pc

    Hello guys,

you know, some of the things a man has got to leave like it is. If it works, don't touch it!
But then, sometimes you've got to clean your workspace and you've have got to clean the dust out of the computers.

Which i did, last friday. I pulled all the cables out of the pc that controlles the machine.
Took the air copressor and blew it all clean. really nice!

But then, I reconnected all the cables and ***** since then i didn't get my machine to communicate with the computer.
Same set-up (i didn't change a thing) and i get the 'communication timed ou' error message in Lasercut.

So I use the MPC6515 motion controller (v1.2.3) with Lasercut 5.3 and a white dongle.
What have I done so far: downloaded new software and drivers from Nottinghack UK https://wiki.nottinghack.org.uk/wiki...serCut/Install

For that thank you guys! Awesome website and really handy installation guide.
On my laptop, which I use now to control the machine, it works perfect.
Nice and clean install everything works perfect. The laptop recognizes the machine as an LT SLAVE

The main computer recognizes the machine as an EZ USB FX thing... And i cannot install the wright driver for that one.
Even if i choose the corresponing map with the files, i get the message that the aprioraite file can not be found...

So i think there (with the drivers) is lays the problem.
    Thank for listening :-)

    My question:

The laptop recognizes the machine as LT Slave USB (68013A) driver,
my main pc recognizes it as EZ USB.

How do I get my main pc to recognize my machine as a LT Slave USB?

    Best regards,

    MArk

go into device manager and see if there are any yellow marks. you could also click on the usb and then scan for hardware changes. you could uninstall the controller and the let it reinstall it

    Hello fixtureman1,

I tried that, several times. But it is not working.
Or i get the message the driver isn't found or there is a problem and the install can't go on.

Is there anyone who has the cypress EZ- USB FX2 driver installed?

Re: Lasercutter won't communicate with pc

Hello all, I have the exact same problem, system was working perfectly, then went away for a month with everything shut down, and when I started it up I have the same issue, when laser (G. Weike LC6090) the laptop (HP with Win 7) recognizes the card (Mpc6515 V4.1.3.0) as EZ-USB FX2 with yellow warning, try to update driver and get the error message "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it." Appears to be looking for LT Slave USB(68013A) then says The system cannot find the file specified.
I have uninstalled everything and reinstalled, same problem. G. Weike has been less than helpful. I have emailed Leetro, had a response asking for my information and the card serial number, but no furthe action for 36 hours now. Very frustrated, if a solution arises, I will post. Anyone else with any ideas?

Re: Lasercutter won't communicate with pc

Hi again, just an update, I connected the LC6090 to an older Win 7 Dell INSPIRON laptop that had been used previously to run the laser, and it recognized the card in Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus Controllers as a “LT Slave USB(68013A) Driver”and everything is working perfectly from the LaserCut53 software, downloads the program and cuts and engraves perfectly. The Driver details are EZUSB.sys Chengdu Leetro Automation Co., Ltd. Version 1.4.0.0, dated 11/4/2010. The file is located in C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\EZUSB.sys on the Dell
I copied the EZUSB.sys to the exact same location on the HP Pavillion, then plugged the machine into the USB port, Device Driver recognizes it as "EX USB FX2" with exclamation error, not the LT Slave USB(68013A) Driver that the Dell recognizes!! I tried updating the driver, browsing the updater to the C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\ location, same problem. Any ideas? When I try changing the driver and pick the EZUSB.sys, it wants an *.ini file!! Go figure!

    Hello LaserMark and dshefley

Please 1. close your antivirus software, because have some file , antivirus think is a virus 2. uninstall all the lasercut 5.3 file , then again install it . I think it will have a good result

Re: Lasercutter won't communicate with pc

    Hello all,

I haven't got it fixed yet. Right now, I am at the point of doing a full clean install of windows 7.
dshefley: it's exact the same situation here: My laptop recoginzes the machine as LT SLAVE USB and it works perfect.

My main machine recognizes it as EZ USB FX1. And I don't get it to work.

I tried several drivers, from different sources and none of them seem to 'overrule' the EZ USB thing.
Closing my anti virus while instaling some drivers i found on the net? I'd rather not do that...

@ Gweike: i will give your drivers a try...

    Thx for the replys!
I'll keep you up to date

    Best regards,

not really a solution, but it worked.

    Best regards,

    MArk
I have a few problems trying to get my laser cutter running.

I cannot get my laser cutter to communicate with my pc.
Using the installation cd's supplied with the laser cutter on Windows XP as
suggested in the manual. I have attempted to install the LT USB DRIVERS SET
UP V2.6 and MPC6515 drivers, linked with the blue USB cable to the pc. I run
the set up and get the following message 'set up failed. Operation to files
and disc is wrong'(I have attached an image of this). The pc does not pick
up any hardware or recognise the PC to USB to Laser cutter connection
either. I therefore can not communicate any program with the laser cutter.

I have also tried Exporting CFG to a USB flash drive stick instead
(formatted to FAT16). I can get the laser cutter controller to download file
from USB stick , it recognises a name of file, but when I press TEST I get
the following display with no movement or output 'Tcontouring please wait'
the machine does not do anything, no movement . I have to press stop to go
back to main menu. If I press the Start button the laser cutter also does
not do anything. Machine has a brand new laser tube, laser fires and is
alligned, can move the x, y and z axis with the controller. Just can not
Test a contour or run a file.

On Laser cut 5.3 software, I press the Download button and a 'communication
timed out' error message is displayed.
I then try to download CFG or Download current, message displays
    'MotionCard-SoftDog no same!'

I am attempting to run the laser off Microsoft Windows XP PC although I do
also have a Windows 7 laptop I can also use. I tried to install the LT USB
DRIVERS SET UP V2.6 from a different website (not from the cds) on my Windows 7 laptop to try out of interest. On this
I managed to get my laptop to recognise the blue USB cable linked up,
identified as EZ- USB FX2, but it does not complete the installation, I get
the message 'the driver isn't found or there is a problem and the install
can't go on' Contact your service provider.

My Laser cutter is a LG3040 with MPC6515 controller. Operator pad displays
V4.0.3 when machine is started, on the controller board at the back of the
laser sticker displays V4.1.2.5. The software dongle colour is white with
2012 on one side and WHCX-LASER1 on the other side.

I have checked my firmware version
    Version DLL - 4.1.2.2
    Version of Firmware- 124.0.18.245
    Version of Hardware- 120.107.197.26

I would really like to get working as I am a graduated student. Waiting for replies from Weike and Leetro.

    Hi friend,

What about your laptop system? Win7 32 bit or win 7 64 bit? You can restall software on laptop, or install win 7 driver again.

    Hi Samijayne19,

Did you get yours working in the end? I have installed Laser Cut 5.3 and it's opening fine but won't communicate with the laser cutter (LG900N) and I can't find the LT Slave Driver in the Device Manager.

I'm really stuck, I've borrowed an older laptop with Windows 7 on and got the exact same problem.

I've tried 3 different Laser Cut 5.3 downloads, all with the same results, working but won't connect to the machine :-( please help! thank you in advance :-)
