    Knurling 2-3mm Al wire?

    Hi all,
    I know this might be a stupid question but...
    I'd like to use some 2 to 3mm hardened aluminum "hobby" wire as hinge pins in ~3/4" PVC joints (InMoov fingers, actually) and have it stay in.
    Is there a way to knurl the end(s)?
    Can't exactly chuck that stuff up in a monster lathe.
