    JY5300-2 and MHC2 MPG mach3 configuration

    Hi everyone!
i need some help configuring the MHC2 handwheel that came with my CNC (ebay link)
    MACH3 supported CNC Engraver CNC3020 + controller+ MHC2 mpg handwheel pendant | eBay

The machine itself runs very well and is correctly configured in Mach3, but the handwheel doesn't seem so respond correctly, ive followed the instructions to configure the HC, the cd comes with a brain to run the HC. the buttons function as expected but the actual wheel doesnt move the axis. ive gone through the calibration of the MPG and i do get data out of the wheel, this can also be seen when i view the brain, the MPG count variable does actually receive data. so i am really at a loss here as to what to try next.

anybody know what i could do? anybody have one of these machines working properly?

also another question, in the MPG calibration screen, when it asks to move the wheel one detent, do i move one click on the wheel or do i move a full 360 degree turn?

i did search the forums for my specific problem but could not find anything on the model of MPG i have.

i would really appreciate some help with this, thanks!

EDIT: GAH! solved the problem, the MPG #1 was disabled in the ports and inputs config.... the instructions didnt say to enable it.

    Re: JY5300-2 and MHC2 MPG mach3 configuration

    Hi,
I did a lot of searches on Google about my configuration, but they all revealed close to nothing except the above tread in this forum. Wigle above, manage to solve his problem, but I am not able to so far...

I manage to configure the MIB 3020 machine, the JY5300-2 and MHC2. Everything is working great, except the control of the machine from the MHC2 wheel, when the controller is in PC mode with MAch3 running. The readings between the DRO on the MAch3 screen and the MHC2 are synchronized, which (I think) means the modbus communication is working.
when i jog from keyboard, both DROs (pc and pendant) update.
If in Mach3 interface I go to MPG mode with TAB button, I can work the motors with the computer keyboard, but not with the wheel on MHC2.
When I go to MPG mod CAL, I can see that numbers update when i rotate the wheel om MHC2.
It appears, that the MPG mode is disabled as fro the JOG Mode button i can only toggle between "Cont" and "Step" and the "MPG" stays off (dark).

    Here is my setup:

Here is the Manual for Jy5300-2 and MHC2:

I followed the instructions, few times, but I'm obviously missing something or there is an error in the docs.
    where did i screw up?

    Thank you in advance!
