    Invalid code 241

    Hello,

Every once in a while my new haas office mill will give me an error code 241 "invalid code".

I use edgecam 100% of the time to do all my programming, but i can't figure out why every so often when i load a program i get this code when trying to cycle start.

Everything looks the same when comparing to a program that works.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so do you know what the cause is?

    Thanks in advance,

If i delete all the info that edgecam puts in, like part name, date, time, etc it works just fine.

Something to do with that......weird cause it's only sometimes it won't read that stuff....90% of the time it's fine and I can't see any difference from one to another.

Just a stab in the dark here, but it sounds like there might be a character in the part or tool names that the controller doesn't like. Something like a quotation mark or slash or something.

Post the code that doesn't work and I bet somebody finds it.

    Re: Invalid code 241

I keep forgetting to post an example....i'll try to remember when at work.

All i've been doing is deleting all the information edgecam puts into the code at the beginining of the code and it hasn't happened again........weird cause everything I'm deleting is after a semicolon.......or is it...maybe it's just brackets...and my post is putting a bunch of these( ************************************************** *******************) at the start in the notes. I don't really need the notes cause I generally don't keep the code just the actually edgecam file and regenerate if need be, but still curious as to what the problem is. I'll try to post an example soon.

    Thanks for the replies.
