Jim or others,
Can this machine run on shop air alone or is oxy or nitro required? or a combination?
Thank you,
Tom

Until Jim comes along with the right answer, I came across this info. It appears air/air is fine:

HT2000
Process gases
by material
(Plasma/shield) Mild steel: O2/Air, O2/O2, Air/Air, N2/CO2
Stainless steel: Air/Air, N2/Air, N2/CO2, H35/N2
Aluminum: Air/Air, N2/Air, N2/CO2, H35/N2

Best cut quality on steel is with Oxygen/Air, however there are consumables and cut charts for cutting with Air/Air up to 200 amps, Oxygen produces cleaner, squarer cuts at higher speeds with less dross and minimal edge nitriding. It is less costly to cut with oxygen on steel if you factor in secondary work such as grinding, etc.
So, yes...you can cut with air with the HT2000 and HT2000 LHF units.
