I recall reading x3 has the feature to leave small holding tabs on parts so they stay in place and do not move around when cut away from the stock.

I have yet to find this in the software. Can someone direct me to the feature and what it is called? Any pointers on its use would be helpfull also.

Just go to the help section in Mastercam, goto search section, enter TAB in the search field and you have a pretty detailled section about it.

I guess I have wandered by it and not even realized it in the past. Never had a need for it until recently.

If you are cutting through the part don't forget to figure the break through into the tab thickness if your part is .250 thick and you set up to cut through .280 and you want a .100 thick tab put .130 in the tab value...it references off the bottom cut
