New fellow here asking for guidance to appropriate forum. I build classic steel lugged bicycles as a hobby. I have an ancient set up table that was Blanchard ground one side. I wanted to use it for frame alignment, 7/8 inch x 29 x 48 inches. It has a .057 bow/bowl across the middle. I can fudge with washers as shims or use a flat piece of one inch thick oak on top of the table next to the Bottom Bracket post, but it is obviously a real pain. None of the Los Alamos machine shops can grind something this big, which would cost a small fortune anyway. Someone suggested the ancient art of hand scrapping, which is fine with me, since I build by hand without a frame fixture. Would someone care to recommend a couple hand scrapping tools?
Thanks,
