    Haas VF

    Got a Haas VF Model TM2---Bobcam V3
For Machine Perameters i choose -BC_3X_Mill
For Post processor i choose Haas VF
I have changed line 430 in the Post processor
to Spindle Speeds =4000 (the machines Max)
I still get spindle speeds up to 7000 and 10000 ??
I thought choosing the right post proccessor would
get your speed and feeds closer to your machines
    capability---Any Ideas------rckdef

I just went back and did some tests
With Default-Current Settings set at Max Spindle Speed at 4000
I did a Drill Hole Feature using a .125 Drill
In the Drill Perameters (with the system feeds and speeds on)
The RPM was 10000---if i change the dril diameter then the rpm would
come down--It worked the same for a Profile and a Pocket
With the System Feeds and Feeds on it is not working--
thats why i ask do you have the same machine and are you useing the same post processor

You set your Default speed and feed,,close BoB,,,Now open again, the settings should "stick".

To my knowledge, those settings should be respected,no matter what.

I set the default and shut down--
Re-started it does not lock on to the default setting
What it seems to be doing is calculating speeds and
feeds according to the material chosen in the stock
material list considering the SFM and HSS

When you set up your machine parameters, you must hit a button to confirm or set it. I don't remember where or how, but I know I set mine up several times before I realized that it was not being confirmed.

I don't have access right now, but maybe someone else can help you.

I had a similar issue. Easiest thing to do is was I created 'My Machine' (A Vf-3B) by clicking the add button and basically making a new machine setup. That stuck with no problem. So I made a profile setup for each machine I use BCC on. But remember you have to right click on Milling Tools>Default>Current Setting to make it stick to all new files you make. It will not change the file you are currently working on. For that click Milling Tools>Part>Current settings. There it will change your currently open file. It's not hard to make machine setups. Give it a try
