    haas hl2 lathe

Just wondering what it would take to change my "G32" threading routine to a "G76" my Haas is a little to old to understand the "G32"

I did try just changing the 32 to a 76 and the lathe still wasn't happy.

    Thanks

Presuming that the Haas is similar to the Fanuc version, you need two lines of G76 code for it to work.
Check a Fanuc manual for details, since you did not provide any thread or material details for the crowd.
Odd that G32 did not work, but did you try using G92?

This a just an 8tpi cut, and im not cutting anything yet, im just using the verify that's on the control. The error message I get with the "G32" is Invalid G code. I took a look in the Haas manual and "G32" isn't even listed, just "G76" for threading. When I changed the "G32" to a "G76" is says Invalid I,J,K values. Because their aren't any when using a "G32" I tried the "G92" and it when thru the program ok, looks like it did a turning routine, didn't cut any threads. This Haas will thread all day with a "G76". Thinking this 1996 HL is just a little to old for the newer G Codes.
