    3-Axis Mill

Thats great but i would like to try something a little more complicated
like the shape of a computer mouse. A shape with changing curves
My interest is in cutting foam shapes for molds of aircraft parts.
I would like to check out this machine before investing in more software.
If anybody can guide me to a G-Code i can download to to do this check
    i would be happy........ Thanks.......rckdef

How much can you spend? How much time do you have? None are stone simple for what you want. 3D can go the limit of $$$$ free to over 20k.

    HeeksCAD is free
    Vectric Cut3D is $400
    MasterCAM is 14k

Cut3D is easiest to pick up for CAM, but what do you have for CAD? Again, free to $$$$.

It is simple once you've spent time figuring things out, and I just had a brain fart. Vectric has trials and include examples that will spit out code for you. My first 3D on the JGRO was the rooster in Cut3D. Very simple and easy to set up.

    3-Axis Mill

My CAD is Solidworks, i do not have a CAM yet. First i want to mess around
with a bit of Code to see how my Torchmate machine handles it. I am capable
of programing simple 3-D objects OK. A part with multiple curves ? i don't
know. Thats why i would like to see a bit of code to get a better understanding of it. Any suggestion!

Your brain fart worked very well! I liked the Rooster, plenty curves.
It seems simple enough. i lucked out on the postprocessor they did
not have one for the Torchmate but there was one with a fgc.
extention which Torchmate uses. So 3-D Cut will work in Torchmate
    Thanks rckdef
